Rick & Diann
Thank you for visiting our About page. Dainn and I live in Palm Beach County, Florida, with our pets and across the highway from our daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren. We believe in family first. Diann and I purchased our first RV in 2018 and began traveling with our pets and family. We realized pretty quickly that a class A RV did not offer the room we required when our daughter and grandchildren traveled with us. We moved to a forty-three-foot 5th wheel and were pleasantly surprised with all the room we had.
We love our RV but quickly realized that owning two new RVs does not mean it is trouble or worry-free. I quickly learned there are very few certified, licensed, and insured repair facilities or mobile technicians. My experiences trying to get my RV repaired led me to seek further education, certifications, and a brand new career as an RV service technician.
I attended the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) in Texas and obtained certifications as an inspector from the National RV Inspectors Association (NRVIA) and as a technician from the RV Technicians Association of America (RVTAA). I also took courses in solar installation and repairs and generator repair.

Who Is Rick Root
I want to tell you about myself before inviting me into your home.
I was born in Connecticut and raised in Florida. I proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Security Police officer and entered the civilian law enforcement profession after six years of service. My civilian law enforcement career as a police officer included Road Patrol, Motor Officer, Traffic homicide investigator, DUI Enforcement in the Traffic Unit, HonorGuard, and Training. I was promoted to sergeant and supervised Road Patrol, Training, and Recruiting. After six years as a sergeant, I was promoted to lieutenant, where I served as watch and honor guard commander.
After leaving law enforcement, I served as a Trainer, Operations Manager, Regional Operations Manager, and District Manager for the largest American-owned security company in the United States. I then opened a Private Investigations firm that specialized in the use of force and criminal defense.
After retiring from my second career, I wanted to continue helping people and staying busy. Given my experience with my RV and finding services to get it fixed, I decided to pursue professional certifications in RV repairs and inspections.
I wanted to share all of this so you would understand my background and try to make you comfortable with me and my business before inviting me into your RV for repair or maintenance.
